COMPASSIONATE DOG SERVICES

  Chris is an Air Force Veteran and current Law Enforcement Officer in the state of Arkansas with previous K9 certifications. Chris has always had a love for dogs, however in 1992 he began to develop a professional passion for the trained Canine while he was stationed at Lackland AFB. Chris like his son (Corey) has a desire to deliver superior training to the customers that trust Diamond State K9 with their training needs.  

Corey is a passionate former Law Enforcement Officer with over 7 years of K9 Training and handling Experience. Corey discovered his passion with dogs at an early age with waterfowl hunting. Corey has turned his passion into a dream job, as the founding partner of Diamond State K9, where he developed his skills into training obedience, game retrieval, scent detection, search and rescue and can much more.  Corey continues to develop innovative ways to get the best training for his Diamond State K9 clients.  Corey is also a certified AKC Canine Good Citizen Evaluator 

Devan is our Head Groomer, Part Time Trainer,  and founding partner of the Paw Spa side of the business. She is a Certified Groomer and Hygienist, who is trained in all breed cuts, as well as some creative grooming styles.  Prior to becoming a groomer, she worked as a Business Manager & Accountant but Devan’s passion has always been working with animals.  She has done volunteer work with shelters since she was a teenager, and has been teaching basic obedience and trick training since she was a teenager. In 2018, she decided to get out of the corporate world, follow her heart and make her dream of having a grooming salon come true.  She opened the Paw Spa and ran it by herself until her client base outgrew what she could offer alone, so it was time for an upgrade.  In June of 2021 she and Chris partnered together to bring DSK9 Paw Spa to life.  Devan works hard to ensure the grooming team provides the best quality products and services to all clients.  She and the grooming team continuously study new products, tools, and methods that improve the quality of service we offer, and strive to give the best experience possible at our grooming salon.  Devan is going to be teaching in our Thursday night training classes alongside Chris & Corey.
